DSOI, Dhaula Kuan is the biggest Defence Officers’ Institute in Asia with a Membership base of more than 15000 spread all over India and abroad.
This Institute has a long rich history. It was first set up at the National Stadium on 22 Oct 1949 as Defence Services Club with Field Marshal K M Cariappa as its first President. It was shifted to its present location at Dhaula Kuan on 05 Jan 1967. The Institute is a proprietary Institute of the Defence Services Officers Welfare Fund (DSOWF), a Not for Profit association registered under the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860 (Punjab Amendment) Act 1957, as extended to the Union Territory of Delhi.
